在寒冷的冬天裡溫暖又帶點甜蜜的甜點,簡簡單單就能完成的!

Ingredients

  • 4~6 Medium-sized apples (depends how many people) 蘋果
  • 1/4 tablespoon unsalted butter (per apple) 無鹽奶油
  • Pinch of brown sugar (per apple) 紅糖
  • cinnamon  肉桂粉
  • Rasins 葡萄乾
  • Vanilla ice cream 香草冰淇淋
  • Walnuts 核桃

Directions

蘋果洗淨,用水果刀跟小湯匙將蘋果核挖出,不要挖穿底部。再用牙籤在皮上戳一些小洞。
Wash apples, use a knife and spoon to core the apple, do not dig though the bottom.  Use a toothpick to poke tiny holes on the skin.

烤箱預熱華氏三百五十度。在蘋果中間放入葡萄乾,撒上肉桂粉。上面放上奶油和紅糖。放入加入半杯水的烤盤裡,放入烤箱烤三十分鐘。
Preheat oven 350F. Fill the core hole with rasins, and cinnamon powder. Place unsalted butter and brown sugar on the top of the core hole. Place apples in a baking pan, add 1/2 cup of water. Bake for 30 minutes.

拿出蘋果放涼一點,就可以切開四半。
Take out the apple and let it cool off for a few minutes. Cut apart 4 slices.

上面放上香草冰淇淋,撒上核桃粒。享受吧!
Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream and sprinkle with walnut on top. Enjoy!

Note: 選擇中型的蘋果比較適合一人一個吃的大小。烤好的蘋果要不要馬上吃,太燙,要等涼一下再放冰淇淋。用泡過蘭姆酒(Rum) 的葡萄乾會更香哦!
Medium-sized apples are good size for dessert. Don’t eat the apple right away when out of the ovan because it is very hot. Let it cool off a few minutes before putting the ice cream on top. It will be fragrant if using the rasins that were soaked in rum.

Ingredients

  • 8 (3/4 inch) thick pork chops
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3-4 tart apples
  • 6 tbsp pecans (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 175 degrees F (80 degrees C). Place medium dish in the oven to warm.  Peel, core, and slice the apples.  Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Brush pork lightly with oil and place in hot pan. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, turning occasionally, or until done. Transfer to the warm dish, and keep warm in the preheated oven.

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt and pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add butter to skillet, and stir in brown sugar mixture and apples. Cover and cook until apples are just tender.

Remove apples with a slotted spoon and arrange on top of pork. Keep warm in the preheated oven.  Continue cooking sauce uncovered in skillet, until thickened slightly. Spoon sauce over apples and pork. Sprinkle with pecans.

Note: Eat as soon as they are finished, or they will become tough.

A simple and easy recipe that goes great with vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients

Filling:

  • 3 to 4 medium Granny Smith apples 青蘋果
  • 1 tbsp sugar 糖
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 肉桂
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg 肉荳蔻

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick) 無鹽奶油
  • 1 cup flour 麵粉
  • 1 cup sugar 糖
  • 1/2 tsp salt 鹽
  • 1 egg 蛋
  • 1/2 cup walnuts 核桃

Directions

烤箱預熱到華氏350度。去蘋果核心,切片放到九吋烤盤(不超過三分之二滿)。在一個小碗裡,拌入糖,肉桂和肉荳蔻。混合在蘋果裡。
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Core and slice apples, add apple slices to 9-inch pie pan (no more than two-thirds full). In a small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples.

要做上面的烤皮,首先融化無鹽奶油。在另一個單獨的碗,把麵粉,糖,雞蛋,和融化無鹽奶油攪拌一起直到均勻混合。然後倒在蘋果的上面均勻覆蓋好,再加上壓碎的核桃。
To make the topping, first melt the unsalted butter or margarine and set it aside. In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, salt and egg until they’re evenly blended. Whisk in the butter or margarine, then spread the topping of the apples.

放入烤箱烤四十分鐘直到金黃色。拿出涼一下,趁熱吃。
Bake the pie until golden brown, about 40 minutes. Serve warm.

Ingredients

  • 1 head romaine lettuce 蘿蔓生菜
  • 1-2 medium apples 蘋果
  • ¼ cup cranberries 小紅莓
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice 檸檬汁
  • 3 tbsp olive oil 橄欖油
  • 1 tbsp mustard 芥末
  • 1 tbsp honey 蜂蜜
  • ½ cup pecans, chopped 山核桃粒
  • Salt and pepper to taste 鹽和黑胡椒
  • Pinch of sugar 糖

Directions

Wash and chop lettuce.  Core and slice the apples.  Add lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar, mustard, and honey together in a small bowl.  Put lettuce in a mixing bowl, and put apples over the lettuce.  Add dressing.  Sprinkle cranberries and pecans on top.

Note: You can get pecans with flavor (I used cinnamon) that goes well with apples!
